Inclement Weather

WEATHER ADVISORY INFORMATION:

1/15/2024 UPDATE: 
We will be starting the Initial Contractor/Supervisor class at 9am today.  The Cont/Supervisor Refresher is online only and will start at 8am.  As always, please make the best decision for yourself and if you would prefer to move to our next class, please email at info@gebco.org anytime.  Thank you and stay safe!

Due to regulatory requirements that students attend specified class hours to be eligible for successful completion of courses, GEBCO is most reluctant to cancel classes due to weather conditions, and generally will hold classes even though other local schools and colleges may close.  Students should assume our scheduled classes will be held.  A two-hour late arrival in a severe situation is acceptable, and can generally be made up during lunch time.  Missing more time than that will likely make students ineligible for certification, and require that they re-schedule for the next scheduled course.
Assuming that we will be open, we will not normally post a weather advisory.  Should an unprecedented, catastrophic situation occur, please check our website where pertinent information may be posted.

INFORMACION SOBRE AVISO DEL TIEMPO: Debido a los requisitos regulatorios que los estudiantes asistan a las horas de clase especificados para ser elegible para completar con éxito los cursos, GEBCO es más reacio a cancelar las clases debido a las condiciones meteorológicas, y por lo general va a tener clases a pesar de que otras escuelas y colegios locales pueden cerrar. Los estudiantes deben asumir nuestras clases programadas se llevarán a cabo. Al llegar con retraso de dos horas en una situación grave es aceptable, y por lo general se puede recuperar durante la hora del almuerzo. Faltando más tiempo que eso probablemente hará que los estudiantes no sean elegibles para la certificación, y requerir que se registren para el próximo curso programado.
